15-minute Cheeseburger Sliders
In my efforts to make quick, homemade meals and satisfy the tastebuds of my hungry husband and kids, these sliders have been such a hit. I love that I can combine all ingredients in one dish and bake in the oven without having to stand over the stove. The end result is a bunch of juicy burgers that are the same size as a package of Hawaiian rolls. Simply slice your Hawaiian rolls in half, place large dish-sized burger patty in between and then slice for individual sliders! Not only are these great for weeknight dinners, they are a favorite finger food at parties, too!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Italian bread crumbs
- 1 package of original Hawaiian rolls (12 count)
- 4 slices American cheese (or cheese of your preference)
- 3 slices of bacon (optional)
- Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickle, lettuce, tomato)
Time to cook!
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Use a 3-quart glass casserole dish, and knead raw meat, breadcrumbs and salt and pepper together.
- Press evenly so that the entire bottom of the dish is covered in a layer of meat.
- Cook for 15-17 minutes (depending how pink you like your burgers).
- Once cooked through, place 4 slices of cheese on the meat. Place back in oven for one minute to melt.
- Cut into rows of 4 and columns of 3. Slice Hawaiian Rolls in half.
- Place bacon atop burger patties and then the bun.
- To make it look fancy, I placed one pickle on top and stuck a toothpick through the burger to hold everything together.
*Now that my kids are older, I usually have to make two of these dishes in order to feed everyone. These burgers are always a favorite!
Enjoy!
